Point of
Convergence
Cities don’t work as a dendritic tree but rather a lattice of different influences such as history, road network, ethnic nodes and views etc. This combined together creates a point of convergence. The concept lead me to realize the historical influences on site and a possible route for commuters that will connect the isolated site to north and south of Bristol.
The idea was to create a public funded cultural centre consisting auditorium, gallery, exhibition space and an archive in fragments of the exiting warehouse combined with a station to make the site the centre point of the city invaded by the landscape in south east Bristol to allow horticulture to take place as well as to allow commuters to flow through the site.
